During a recent training session on the AI Ready School Platform, we showcased how educators can integrate artificial intelligence into their teaching by simulating real-world data collection. The goal was straightforward: to demonstrate how AI tools can facilitate meaningful classroom discussions through hands-on exploration.
We prompted the AI Tutor with a relatable, real-world question:
"Can you create a spreadsheet about how many hours on average a teenager spends on their phone in Uzbekistan?"
Within seconds, the AI produced a detailed dataset capturing various aspects of teenage phone usage across different age groups.

As we invited participants to examine the data, they shared particularly insightful reflections:
One of the most interesting moments came when an 18-year-old student participant responded to the data:
“I spend around 7 hours on my phone daily. This data is pretty accurate for someone my age!”
This instant validation of the AI-generated statistics brought authenticity to the activity, showing how relatable and realistic such datasets can be.
Another teacher participant observed two important behavioral trends:
1. “Teenagers are spending the majority of their time on social media and gaming platforms.”
2. “Interestingly, as they grow older, there’s a slight decline in gaming hours and a gradual increase in educational app usage.”
These reflections validated the data’s relevance and helped turn a spreadsheet into a story about teenage digital behavior.
This activity highlighted just how effective AI-powered tools can be in the classroom:
1. AI-generated data creates immediate engagement, especially when it's about topics students relate to.
2. Data analysis becomes a hands-on skill, where students and teachers can interpret, validate, and even challenge what they see.
3. Discussions are richer when backed by real-looking data, sparking curiosity and critical thinking.
Teachers can easily model how to collect, organize, and reflect on information, showing students how to use data to tell a story.
This session wasn’t just about phone usage it was about demonstrating to educators how AI can transform everyday questions into analytical opportunities.
A simple spreadsheet became a tool for pattern recognition, digital behavior analysis, and collaborative reflection.
The experience reminded everyone that data is more than just numbers—it’s a gateway to deeper understanding. With tools like the AI Ready School Platform, teachers can create immersive learning moments that blend technology, curiosity, and human insight.
